In recent years, China’s industrial integration has been deepening, which has provided an important growth point for building a modern industrial system and cultivating new kinetic energy for economic development. Scientific and technological innovation can play a vital role in deepening industrial integration and resolving outstanding contradictions and key problems. Facing the new journey of building a socialist modernized country in an all-round way, we need to work hard to promote industrial integration and scientific and technological innovation in a coordinated way, so as to better solve the shortcomings and weaknesses in the current economic field and provide assistance and stimulate vitality for achieving high-quality development.

Collaborative promotion of industrial integration and technological innovation is an important path to promote high-quality economic development.
Industrial integration is a dynamic process in which different industries, or different industries in the same industry, gradually form new industries through mutual penetration and cross-reorganization, mainly covering the integration of service industry and manufacturing industry, service industry and agriculture, different industries within service industry and digital economy-enabled industries. The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee put forward that "innovation should be the core of China’s overall modernization, and self-reliance in science and technology should be the strategic support for national development", and made major arrangements in strengthening the national strategic scientific and technological strength, enhancing the technological innovation capability of enterprises, stimulating the innovation vitality of talents, and improving the system and mechanism of scientific and technological innovation. Relying on scientific and technological innovation to create a new engine of high-quality development should be an important starting point for us to strive to promote high-quality economic development in the coming period.
It should also be noted that the new round of scientific and technological revolution is deepening, and the characteristics of interdisciplinary and professional cross-clustering and multi-field technology integration are increasingly prominent, which makes the interactive relationship between scientific and technological innovation and industrial integration more distinct, and further enhances the requirements for promoting industrial integration and scientific and technological innovation in coordination. Effectively combining scientific and technological innovation achievements with industrial factors can break the bottleneck that hinders the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, transform innovative achievements into real productive forces better, faster and more efficiently, and form an overall resultant force to promote industrial integration and scientific and technological innovation. On the other hand, we should vigorously promote the coordination of service industry, agricultural integration development and scientific and technological innovation. China has won a comprehensive victory in the battle against poverty and completed the arduous task of eliminating absolute poverty, but there is still a long way to go to further solve the problem of insufficient development imbalance and narrow the gap between urban and rural areas. In the next stage, we need to do a good job in consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and effectively connecting rural revitalization, so as to make the foundation of poverty alleviation more stable and the results more sustainable. Among them, it is urgent to expand rural demand and smooth the economic cycle between urban and rural areas. On the basis of adhering to scientific and technological innovation, accelerating the deep integration of modern service industry and modern agriculture will not only help to introduce specialized elements such as science and technology, talents and capital into agriculture, but also introduce modern industrial development concepts and organizational methods into agriculture, improve the efficiency of resource allocation in the supply chain of agricultural industry chain, and also help to accelerate the transformation from production-oriented to consumption-oriented in the process of agricultural development, accelerate the realization of quality-oriented, green-oriented, service-oriented and brand-oriented agriculture, and boost agricultural and rural modernization. This is an important starting point to fill the shortcomings of agricultural and rural modernization, and it is also the proper meaning of adhering to the priority development of agriculture and rural areas and comprehensively promoting rural revitalization.
Collaborative promotion of modern service industry, modern agricultural integration development and scientific and technological innovation needs to start from many aspects. The key point is to make up for the shortcomings and weaknesses faced by the integration and development of rural primary, secondary and tertiary industries. China has become a big digital economy country. In recent years, digital industrialization has developed steadily, industrial digitalization has continued to deepen, digital governance capacity has been continuously improved, and data value has been accelerated. In practice, the digital economy can not only empower scientific and technological innovation and the integrated development of agriculture, manufacturing and service industries, but also better lead the quality change, efficiency change and power change that drive economic development through the integrated development with industries; the digital economy can expand the possibility boundary of scientific and technological innovation to promote high-quality development and provide powerful assistance for new technologies, new formats and new models to become new important growth poles of economic development. The development of digital economy is conducive to accurately guiding users’ needs, promoting industrial integration and development, and empowering the deep integration of modern service industry with advanced manufacturing and modern agriculture.
To promote the healthy development of digital economy and better empower industrial integration and scientific and technological innovation, we need to pay attention to it from multiple levels. Reasonably control the development risks and sustainability of enterprises, pay attention to data property rights and privacy protection, take active and effective measures to scientifically solve the problems of "good policies and difficult implementation" in the process of promoting the deep integration of digital economy and real economy, and strive to cultivate the industrial ecology of digital economy and strengthen talent support.
At the same time, we need to make good use of the important carrier of industrial chain supply chain. In this way, it can not only effectively penetrate all links of production, distribution, circulation and consumption, but also promote the construction of a coordinated and efficient industrial chain supply chain, and accelerate the solution of problems such as insufficient high-end supply in the real economy, especially in manufacturing, weak independent innovation ability, and the digital level of industrial chain supply chain that needs to be improved urgently. China’s large-scale and complete industrial system, as well as its super-large-scale market advantages and domestic demand potential, are conducive to promoting industrial integration and technological innovation with the industrial chain supply chain as the carrier, and promoting the deep integration of the industrial chain and innovation chain while enhancing the competitiveness and self-control ability of China’s industrial chain supply chain.
