The localization rate is over 99%, breakthrough! Offshore wind power goes deep into the sea.
CCTV News:On June 30th, the 18 MW medium-speed fully integrated offshore wind turbine independently developed by China Ship was hoisted in Yingkou, Liaoning Province, and entered the stage of commissioning and grid connection.

At full wind speed, this offshore wind turbine can generate 44 kwh of electricity every revolution, and one unit can output about 74 million kwh of clean electricity every year, which can meet the electricity demand of 40,000 households.
99% domestic offshore wind power equipment manufacturing achieved a breakthrough.
With the upgrade iteration and technical progress of wind power products, the large-scale wind turbine has become an inevitable requirement for the large-scale development of wind power. While the demand increases, it also accelerates the pace of localization of wind turbines. The blades, gearbox, generator and other core components of this 18 MW unit are independently developed and produced in China, and the localization rate is higher than 99%.

According to the latest data, the installed capacity of offshore wind power in China accounts for about 50% in the world, ranking first in the world for four consecutive years. With the increasing global demand for clean energy, the market demand for high-power offshore wind turbines continues to grow.

Fan Xiaolong, the project manager of CSSC China, said that offshore wind power is gradually moving to the far-reaching sea, and the project development cost is greatly increased. The use of high-power offshore wind turbines can reduce the number of aircraft seats, reduce the foundation and construction costs, and reduce the one-time investment of the project.

Not only is the power generation capacity getting stronger and stronger, but the blades, gear boxes, generators and other core components of this 18 MW unit are also independently developed and produced by China, and the localization rate is higher than 99%, realizing independent innovation and industrial upgrading of offshore wind power equipment manufacturing industry.
The 18 MW medium-speed fully integrated offshore wind turbine installed on June 30th was installed in the thermal power plant. According to the staff, the combination of new energy sources such as wind energy and traditional energy sources has improved energy efficiency and corporate profitability.
