　　First, preferential tickets for children are implemented according to age.Children over the age of 6 and under the age of 14 can purchase discount tickets for children, which will benefit more children travelers. According to the calculation, after the implementation of "China State Railway Group Co.,Ltd. Passenger Regulations", the number of passengers enjoying children’s discount tickets increased by 15 million each year compared with the previous forecast. Every adult passenger can take a child who is under 6 years of age and does not occupy a seat alone for free. If there is more than one child, a discount ticket for the child should be purchased. The age of the child is calculated according to the date of the ride. When a passenger carries a free child, he shall make a declaration to the railway transport enterprise at the time of ticket purchase, and the valid identity certificate of the free child used at the time of ticket purchase declaration shall be his travel certificate.

Student travelers can buy four one-way student discount tickets between their family residence and the location of the college (internship place) at any time every academic year (October 1 to September 30 of the following year) with their student ID cards marked with discount zones and student discount cards for train tickets.
