Co. announced that it had voluntarily recalled some batches of Jif brand peanut butter due to suspected salmonella contamination. Confirmed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the recalled products were produced by J.M.Smucker Company in Lexington, Kentucky, with the first seven batches ranging from 1274425 to 2140425 and the fifth to seventh batches ranging from 425.
