Although MSI’s processor architecture is more advanced, its specifications are weaker than Broadwell-E17 processor. Due to the limited optimization of multi-core by mainstream single-machine masterpieces, the gap between notebooks in this respect is not particularly large.
The MSI GT72 VR game book we received has a lot of heat dissipation. Even if the strong cooling mode is not turned on, the CPU roaster has not been downgraded, and the temperature control is excellent, but the single channel limits the play of this game book and widens the existing processor gap.
Therefore, this test tries to select stand-alone and online games that are insensitive to the main frequency (except for Call of Duty 12, which is very representative and difficult to give up).
We have tested a total of ten games, they are GTA V, Wizard 3, Call of Duty 12, Tomb Raider 10, Total War of Attila, Monster Hunter Online, Watch the Pioneer and world of tanks.
These games take into account the mainstream types such as real-time strategy, action shooting and PVP online games, covering the mainstream game engine types, which can basically reflect the common needs of users. Because DX12 games are not popular and mature, and there are not many games using Vulkan API, this test runs in DX9/ mode except Tomb Raider 10 which uses DX12 mode.
The mobile version used in the test is the 372.53 driver provided by Nvidia, and the desktop version is the 369.05 public version driver. All games are unified with the highest special effects, and some games turn on SSAA anti-aliasing.
(The GT72VR did not turn on the strong cooling mode when the default game was compared and evaluated, and the strong cooling mode will be explained separately later.)

According to the official information provided by NVIDIA, the graphic performance of GTX10670 3Dmark is equivalent to 80% to 80% of that of the desktop version.
